This site came about because of the awareness of some of the problems of the Karen People in Dallas, Texas. At least initially the site will function as a means of communicating with interested parties. Please understand that there is not a webmaster or staff person who can answer questions, etc. It's just a few people who are concerned about the Karen. The page is titled Burma Refugees because there are several ethnic groups from Burma here in Dallas who do not consider themselves as Burmese - much less Myanmars (Myanmar being the name applied to Burma by the currently ruling regime).
