Cost of services: Jewish Family Service charges $100.00 per hour of clinical service.  However, the agency works on a sliding fee scale with clients.  After an automatic charge of $40.00 for the first appointment, the agency can verify a client's income and expenses to determine an appropriate per-session payment, if requested.  No one will be denied service because of inability to pay. If the client has medical coverage, Jewish Family Service will periodically file medical claims for the total $100.00 fee per session.  The portion of the fee not paid by the client or by insurance benefits will be obtained from other sources, such as Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas or United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.  If the client's payment plus the insurance reimbursement add up to more than $100.00, the difference will be refunded to the client. Fees will be charged for all appointments not canceled 24 hours in advance.  Exceptions to this rule, due to unusual circumstances, can be discussed between the client and the counselor. Fees are to be paid at the time of each appointment, unless other arrangements have been approved in advance.  Jewish Family Service accepts payments made with cash, check, or Visa/MasterCard.
